GST Reopening windows for Registration
With the GST roll out fixed on July 1st there are more than 80 percent of all the businesses who have got themselves registered on the GST Network.
The government has provided a window period this month from 1st to 15th of June wherein around 4.35 lakh tax payers got themselves registered.
The present registration figure has already reached around 65 lakhs out of the total 80 lakh excise, service tax and VAT asses-sees at present..
The Registration with the GSTN is a necessary procedure for doing your business in the (GST) regime. The GSTN portal is a standard portal which will allow businesses to upload their monthly sales data as well as file return forms on this portal.
So for all the businesses including the SMES and MSMEs who have still not got registered with GST should not panic now. If you have a valid PAN number you will be able to get the valid registration number.
The GSTN window will reopen from June 25which will allow further registration in the GST and thereby allow authorities to issue provisional certificates to such assesses possessing a valid Permanent Account Number (PAN).
Moreover these Provisional ID will be your GST Identification number (GSTIN) which needs to be filled while filing returns or making invoices.
